Berdasarkan studi etnografi yang digunakan sebagai pijakan, diperoleh dari kajian sastra lisan Lampung Pepaccur dilihat dari beberapa aspek. Aspek-aspek tersebut adalah struktur Pepaccur dan nilai-nilai kebudayaan yang terdapat dalam Pepaccur. Struktur Pepaccur terdiri atas: (1) kerangka (bait pembuka, isi, dan penutup) Pepaccur, (2) diksi yang terdapat dalam Pepaccur, (3) bunyi Pepaccur, (4) nada Pepaccur, dan (5) bahasa kiasan/majas yang terdapat dalam teks Pepaccur. Nilai-nilai budaya yang ada di dalam Pepaccur berisi tentang nasihat atau pesan-pesan hidup yang disebut dengan piil-pesenggiri. Piil-pesenggiri sendiri terdiri atas: (1) nemui nyimah, (2) nengah nyappur, (3) sakai, (4) sambaian, dan (5) juluk adek. Struktur dan nilai-niai kebudayaan yang terdapat dalam Pepaccur, akan dikaji secara detail di setiap teks Pepaccur. Teks Pepaccur yang dianalisis mewakili setiap daerah/masyarakat Lampung.
Listening is one of important skills that should be mastered by students in acquiring the language. Listening skill is needed in comprehending the language. To develop the students’ listening comprehension, the teacher can give some different ways to make the students comprehend their listening task. However, in a fact, based on preliminary observation in the eleventh gradeof SMA Kemala Bhayangkari Kotabumi North Lampung, the researcher found that the student at the eleventh grade of SMA Kemala Bhayangkari seem still have low interest in learning English such aslisteningcomprehension.Based on this fact, theobjective of this research was to know whether there is correlation between interests in learning English andlistening comprehension in the eleventh grade of Sekolah Menengah Atas Kemala Bhayangkari Kotabumi academic year 2017/2018. This research is a quasi correlation research. The population is the eleventh grade of Sekolah Menengah Atas Kemala Bhayangkari Kotabumithat was
154 students, and the sample which was taken randomly 25 students. In this research, the data was collected by the test of listening and the questionnaire,then the data was analyzed by producmoment correlation formula The result of the hypothesis test showed that robserved was 0.583and rtable was 0.396. then, significant test showed that, tobserved(3.446) was greater thanttable(2.068). As the result of the analysis, Ha was accepted while H0 was rejected. In conclusion, there is positive significant correlation between interest in learning English and listening comprehension in the Eleventh grade of SMA Kemala Bhayangkari Kotabumi North Lampung academic year 2017/2018.
This study was initially based on the researcher’s interest in a case found in students as they responded
mathematical problems provided in the form of critiques to a problem. The study aimed to explore the students’ arguments to describe the students’ thinking processes while they are giving critiques to a mathematical problem. The study was qualitative research in a case study involving one student as a subject of research. The finding showed that the students used 4 series of arguments as the main reason to give critiques to the given problem. The critiques were delivered due to several factors consisting of; (1) the students’ inability to discover appropriate strategies to deal with the given problems; (2) the personal experiences kept in a Long Term Memory, and (3) the fallacy on reasoning.

Vocabulary is an important aspect in English learning procces of English. Students’ difficulties in comprehending a text is influenced by their lack of vocabulary. Considering the importance of vocabulary, it is important to find out what variables that right correlate with the mastery of vocabulary. Therefore, this research is conducted to investigate whether or not reading interest correlate with students vocabulary mastery. The design of this research is a descriptive quantitatif research. The number of population in this research was 68 students. The reseacher used simple random sampling technique to take the sample of the research. The number of sample was 30 students. The instrument used to collected the data was multiple choice test for students’ vocabulary mastery and quessionaire of students’ reading interest. After the data was collected, the data was analyzed by using sperman rank correlation and Zh – test formula for significant level used in this research is 5% (0.05,30). Based on the analysis, it was found count (0.831) > table (0.364), and Zcount (4.47) > Ztable (1.96), so, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. In conclusion, there is significant correlation between students’ reading interest and vocabulary retention at the Eleventh Grade of MA Al- Islamiyah Kotabumi North Lampung Academic Year 2017/2018.
Reading comprehension is the ability to understand something or the process of understanding of the text. Reading comprehension is important skills in daily life especially in learning procces of English. The factors students’ difficulties to comprehend of the text because they are not have complete facilities, and the factor socioeconomic background of the parents is very important because the parents can be support learning facilities and care about children learning especially reading. Based on the problem, this research was aimed at investigating whether or not parents’ socioeconomic background correlates with students reading comprehension. The design of this research was a descriptive quantitatif research. The number of population in this research was 68 students. The reseacher used simple random sampling technique to take the sample of the research. The number of sample was 58 students. The instrument used to collect the data was multiple choice test for students’ reading comprehension and quessionaire of parents’ socio – economic background. Having collected the data, the data was analyzed by correlation product moment formula and t–test formula for significant. Based on the analysis, it was found rxy > table (58)(0.05) or 0.334
> 0.266, and tcount > ttable or 2.653 > 2.018. Based on the result, Ho was rejected
and Ha was accepted. In conclusion, there is significant correlation between parents’ socio–economic background and reading comprehension at the Eleventh Grade of MA Al- Islamiyah Kotabumi North Lampung Academic Year
2017/2018.
Tindak tutur langsung dan tindak tutur tidak langsung merupakan tindak tutur yang berfungsi untuk mengatakan atau menginformasikan sesuatu dan dipergunakan untuk melakukan sesuatu. Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah kedua jenis tindak tutur tersebut yakni tujuan tindak tutur langsung dan tindak tutur tidak langsung dalam novel Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan karya Asma Nadia dan alternatif bahan pembelajarannya di sekolah menengah atas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian dideskripsikan berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang tampil sebagai mana adanya. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah penggalan tuturan pada percakapan dalam novel Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan karya Asma Nadia yang mengandung tindak tutur langsung dan tindak tutur tidak langsung. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, diketahui bahwa tindak tutur langsung dan tindak tutur tidak langsung yang ada dalam novel Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan karya Asma Nadia ditemukan 42 kutipan. Data tindak tutur berdasarkan jenisnya, yaitu tindak tutur langsung sebanyak 31 dan tindak tutur tidak langsung sebanyak 11 kutipan. Tindak tutur yang lebih dominan ada dalam novel Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan adalah tindak tutur secara langsung. Tindak tutur langsung dan tindak tutur tidak langsung pada kajian ini dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan pembelajarannya di sekolah menengah atas pada kurikulum 2013.
Reading is one part of the four language skills in learning English. In fact, many students have problems in readimg activity in the class, like difficulty in comprehending a reading text, feel bored in reading activity and reading comprehension is low. There are some factors that influence students’ reading skill, namely; reading technique, reading material and schemata. Reading technique refers to the way we use in getting information from the text to be read, e.g scanning, skipping, and skimming. One of technique is Skipping. Skipping technique is reading technique which is proposed to encourage students’ reading comprhension. The purpose of this research to find out whether or not there is significant influence of using Skipping Technique toward students' reading comprehension of the eleventh grade SMKN 1 Kotabumi Lampung academic year
2017/2018. This research was quantitative research with nonequivalent control group design with pretest and posttest. The population of the research was 399 students. The sample of the research consisted of XI AP I as an experimental class consisting of 39 students and XI AP II as a control class consisting of 38 students. The Classes used in this research were chosen purposively by using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a test in the form of multiple choice items. The hypothesis test used is t test. The result of hypothesis test shows that tobserved (3,017) > ttable (1,992). As a result, Ha was accepted while H0 was rejected. In conclusion, there is significant influence of using skipping technique toward students’ reading comprehension of the eleventh grade SMKN 1 Kotabumi Kotabumi academic year 2017/2018.
Speaking is one of skills in English that is important to be mastered. Having good skill in speaking enables people to express the ideas and convey the messages clearly. In fact most of students still face some problems in speaking English, one of them is low of self-efficacy. Therefore, the researcher conducts a research to find out out the correlation between students’ self-efficacy and their speaking skill at the tenth grade students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 North Lampung academic year
2017/2018. This research includes into quantitative research of correlational study design. In sampling technique, the researcher used proportional random sampling and got 31 students as a research sample. The instruments used by the researcher were questionnaire and oral test. After the data were collected, the researcher analyzed the data by using Pearson product moment formula with significant level
of 5%. It was found that the score of robserved (0,629) was greater than rtable (0,355). Furthermore, the result of t-test also showed that tobserved (4,361) was greater than ttable (1,699). Besides, the result of determination test showed that the variable X contributes to the variable Y by 40%. It means that self-efficacy affects students’ speaking skill by 40% while the 60% is affected by other factors. From the result of the data analysis above, it can be concluded that there is significant correlation between students’ self-efficacy and their speaking skill at the tenth grade students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 North Lampung Academic Year 2017/2018.
Literature as a product of culture can be called as a mirror of society life. Literature basically tells about the life value in a society. Literature has an important fundamental because as moral of education character. Because of that literature can be used as a media to prohibit the bad attitude, like corruption. So, literature can help to create the character of the students. By KKPK, the elementary students can get a good moral such as honestly, trusty, responsibility, care, and so on. The values can be used as effective preventive for students from corruption.

Translation is changing one language to another language. It is not easy, where the translator must know about grammar and vocabulary mastery more. In this research, the students have difficulties to change Indonesian sentence into English sentence using simple present tense form. The objectives of this research to identify the types and the dominant types of grammatical errors made by students in translating simple present tense sentences. The errors collected were classified based on Dulay, Burt, and Khen theory. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method. There are 33 document about simple present tense from the eighth grade of MTs Negeri 1 North Lampung academic year 2017/2018. The result from error analysis showed that students made types of errors such as: Omisison (OM) consist of 85 errors or 23,03%, Addition (ADD) consist of 128 errors or 34,68%, Misformation (MF) consist of 143 errors or 38,75%, and Misordering (MO) consist of 13 errors or 3,52%. Misformation (MF) is the dominant error do by students. It showed that the students have difficulty in translation sentence and using form of grammar.
Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah makna leksikal pada Kumpulan Lagu karya Iwan Fals sebagai alternatif bahan ajar di sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna leksikal pada Kumpulan Lagu karya Iwan Fals sebagai alternatif bahan ajar di sekolah menengah atas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode ini disesuaikan dengan tujuan penelitian, yaitu mendeskripsikan bentuk makna leksikal pada Kumpulan Lagu karya Iwan Fals sebagai alternatif bahan ajar di sekolah menengah atas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat bentuk makna leksikal pada Kumpulan Lagu karya Iwan Fals berjumlah 115 kutipan: makna leksikal derivasi zero 7 kutipan, makna leksikal afiksasi 50 kutipan, makna leksikal reduplikasi 35 kutipan, makna leksikal pemendekan 11 kutipan, makna leksikal derivasi balik 3 kutipan, dan makna leksikal perpaduan (pemajemukan) 9 kutipan. Berdasarkan tujuan pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia Kumpulan Lagu ini baik dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar di sekolah menengah atas. Selain itu, Kumpulan Lagu ini memenuhi kriteria bahan ajar dan banyak memberikan manfaat positif bagi siswa. Skripsi dalam bentuk makna leksikal dapat digunakan oleh guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah menengah atas. Guru bisa menggunakan Kumpulan Lagu tersebut sebagai sumber alternatif pembelajaran makna leksikal. Berdasarkan aspek bahasa, psikologi, dan latar belakang budaya siswa, kumpulan lagu ini dapat dijadikan alternatif bahan ajar pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah menengah atas.

Berbicara Adalah apa yang orang katakan terhadap apa yang orang lihat, rasakan dan pikirkan. saat orang merasakan sesuatu, orang ingin orang lain bisa mengetahuinya. berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti kepada siswa kelas sebelas di SMAN 1 kotabumi Lampung Utara tahun pelajaran 2017/2018, peneliti menemukan bahwa masih banyak siswa yang kemampuan berbicaranya masih rendah. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut,peneliti ingin meneliti apakah ada pengaruh signifikan dari penggunaan gambar terhadap kemampuan berbicara pada siswa. subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas sebelas SMAN 1 Kotabumi Lampung Utara tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini 301 siswa dan jumlah sampel 76 siswa. tekhnik penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes lisan. kemudian untuk menganalisis data menggunakan t-test, pada signifikan level 0,05 dengan dk=76-2=74 di peroleh t hitung=5,05 dan tabel=1.671. sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan menggunakan gambar terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas sebelas SMAN 1 Kotabumi Lampung Utara tahun ajaran 2017/2018.
